Quickly perusing my grocery flyers … and I receive many for some odd reason, I guess they feel I live within shopping distance of their stores. Actually, I don’t … but I don’t mind driving the extra distance most times. I noticed Fortinos had Muenster cheese on sale for $9.49/lb!! Normally it sells for around $15 … and normally it’s very hard to find, most stores don’t even stock it. And, at the regular price, it ain’t exactly cheap. I love this cheese, it’s very mild, has such a soft velvety texture, and on the meltability scale … is through the motherfucking roof … making it perfect for grilled cheese, or any other sandwiches!! I had the deli-girl cut 3 chunks from this whole unwrapped block I photographed in the case. I also had her slice about 15 slices, just to have some ready to grab quickly as needed, making it no muss-no fuss for me. I ended up buying about 3 pounds in total, almost exactly half of the block. I have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer, so I’ll re-wrapped the 3 chunks to ensure freshness and not having to be concerned about it going bad. Oh, and it’s lactose free too, if that’s a concern … it’s all good!!
