Rose Boy!
Finally cut my hair. It’s been months since last time … and after my 1 hour and 20 minute appt. w/ my hairdresser, felt it was worthy of a selfie. Who/what’s prettier, my haircut or that red rose, lol?! 😛

… not only foggy, humid. Was welcomed as well … too many cold morning runs lately. Felt so good stepping out the front door, and not feeling a chill. Happy Friday y’all!

I’m a 6:30 mile guy + steamrolled by car update!!
I started trying for 1mile times late August. Since then, I’ve attempted it a total of 8 times. It’s a tough run, pretty much giving everything your body can give, for those grueling 6+ minutes. Now, it’s almost to the point where I dread it, ’cause it completely drains/saps me … AND, because I haven’t seen much improvement. Only 17 seconds separates my fastest & slowest times, but with two 6:30s, and two 6:31s outta the eight, that seems to be my average, so for the time being, I consider myself a 6:30 miler. I know I’m capable of PRing it at 6:10 – 6:15. It’s just a matter of nailing it. One day, before it kills me, lol!
Today I noticed this big-ass bruise. Thing’s the size of a football. Never really felt any pain when the car hit me, my ankle certainly did though. Now, it really showing where I got smacked by the car’s hood. And it’s starting to hurt – as a bruise hurts.

4K PR … + 1mile PR!!
Wow, I amazed myself. Lord knows I needed a great day, my endurance and pace have been suffering lately. And my 4K is tough for me to improve upon, since my old time was fast, but I bettered it by 5 seconds. AND THEN, fifteen minutes later … I surprised myself lowering my mile to 6:31 (an 8 second improvement). I still can’t believe I had enough left in the tank after those grueling, energy sapping four kilometers?! Oh, and am also surprised since it’s very humid (feels like 30°), and the air feels so thick, making breathing difficult. Like I said, wow … chuffed again!

I just don’t quit – and you have no idea need what my day/night yesterday entailed … and I ain’t sayin’, lol. But, here I am, the morning after … up and at ’em hitting the pavement, killing the 4K again. I think I need one of those Run like a Kenyan t-shirts …’cept I need one that says, Run like a Kenyan, Drink like a German … ‘specially after my Saturday (once again, ain’t sayin’, lol)! Hey, I really enjoy running, and I LOVE my beer … no apologies, no explanation!

… least that’s the way I feel lately… with my newfound healthy lifestyle. Eatin’&Exercisin’ … (healthy eats) like it’s nobody’s business. Do you know we don’t buy milk anymore? Almond and coconut milk only folks. Anyways, a pic for posterity, my runner’s bod … Tiff needles me … “your Weiner pic” … “but hon, you can’t see my weiner”, LOL!!
