how I spent my weekend!
… my ENTIRE weekend!! Laying wood floor. Bamboo. Or in my case bamboozled. Winter storm weather didn’t help, neither did the long drive there and back (… and there and back again) in said conditions. Saturday started and ended the same, shovelling snow. Sunday too. Rolled in close to midnight last night, six tonight. My lost weekend. Doing my part to help, that’s me!

… arrived in the mail today! Been spending up a storm with my temporary card, buying a shitload of shit, scoring great deals along the way, AND getting 10% off (or more) all purchases. Have I told y’all (recently, lol) how much I LOVE Lowe’s … looks like they love me back too … card says, Preferred Customer … 😉
Averting Disaster!
BIGTIME!! I don’t profess being a plumber … only a know-it-all. But, under this particular October 31st scary situation handled myself handy-dandy-halloween-well, if I do say so myself! Water spewing everywhere on two floors was the last thing I wanted to see. Images of THAT proverbial expen$ive emergency plumber phone-call kept fla$hing in my mind! A bit of collateral drywall damage looking for leaks, and then capping off the water supply with shut-off valves … and dan’s-yer-plumber!!

… LOL!! I ain’t kidding either!! I heard about the guy, and today I witnessed it first hand. Apparently he hangs around the neighbourhood trying to drum up business. A renovator (read scam artist, lol), without a vehicle, without tools, definitely without any license. As we were leaving walking towards the car, he rode past, blurting something out about ‘not hearing from you’, before turning his head and delivering this gem as he continued pedalling, LOL!!
