… and I know what I said, ’bout not clogging the blog, but I couldn’t help myself. I can’t believe how unbelievably simple everything is, even the clean-up … especially the clean-up. And that’s VERY important, nobody would use it if it were a pain in the ass. I read the usage instructions, and used what I had handy in the house. A handful of red grapes, one apple quartered (core & stem, the whole apple), half a frozen banana, and a handful of Europe’s Best 4-Field Berry Mix (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) frozen fruit … oh, and just a bit of milk, maybe 2 oz at most … there you have it (there I had it, lol), my first Vitamix smoothie!!

did you love it?!

… OMG, SO good!! For a first attempt, felt like I knocked it outta the park, lol! And have been experimenting, making different ones since. I love having a smoothie after working out, grabbing a variety of frozen fruit (even threw in a handful of spinach the other day as well), and whipping it up SO fast. I’m still amazed how little quantity of frozen fruit yields so much smoothie, blows me away, lol! Oh, but my wife always says it’s too thick, I don’t think it’s too thick, I think it’s thick, but not necessarily overly so … I like its feeling full sensation, AND curbing my appetite that this consistency provides.

hahaha finding the perfect consistency can be fun. i always thought mine came out too thick in the beginning but now i’ve got it down to a science 🙂 i find that one parts fruit to one part liquid gives the perfect blend. and some liquids blend better than others. i don’t do cow’s milk, but i find that coconut “whips” better than say almond milk… i’m proud of you for putting spinach in there too! stay tuned for my “purple” smoothie blog… you’ll be amazed at what i discovered 🙂

Can’t wait for your “purple” posts! And speaking of almond milk … bought some (I know, lol?), as well as dates … AND flaxseed. I’m in smoothie heaven! 🙂
