Nov. 9, 1999! I’ll never forget it! My sweet little Lily came into my life! Sadly, she left it too soon. It was then I realized … Lily’s the only hope/reason I have for heaven’s existence … and I ain’t fucking joking! As I said before, if it does exist, and when my time comes … I’ll be barreling through, pushing ALL family members aside who went before, wanting to greet me, looking for her, wanting to snatch her in my arms letting her plant those doxie-lapping-kisses all over my mug like she always did! Speaking of heaven – afterlife … November 9th is also the day one of greatest geniuses of this place we call EARTH was born … Carl Sagan! Sorry, am late in posting, it’s been a hectic weekend. BTW, shouldn’t even be apologizing, giving reasons why I’m posting when I am, as if it’s anybody’s business … for being busy, living my life. … LOL!! I ain’t kidding either!! I heard about the guy, and today I witnessed it first hand. Apparently he hangs around the neighbourhood trying to drum up business. A renovator (read scam artist, lol), without a vehicle, without tools, definitely without any license. As we were leaving walking towards the car, he rode past, blurting something out about ‘not hearing from you’, before turning his head and delivering this gem as he continued pedalling, LOL!!
… FINALLY!! It’s been a long haul getting here, but today I can optimistically say I’m getting better! Everything went well, and this time I capitulated and snagged a painkiller prescription before I left. But, not before Dr. Harry asked for my driver’s license. Huh? Apparently a new (new to me at least, lol) government policy. Same thing happened at the pharmacy … but, at least this time when she began her explanation, I stopped her telling none was necessary.
A couple of quickies:
Was just getting into it w/ the assistant, telling her my running stories/accomplishments before the good doc came in, ready to go to work, abruptly ending my few moments of glory. She was all interested, and impressed, asking lots of questions. Was a great, relaxing/calming way to begin the procedure. It made me happy talking about it. Other than my blog, really don’t get an opportunity to say much about it with anyone. Oh sure, Tiff gets an earful, but it’s exiting the other one just as quickly, LOL!
Dr. Harry said something to me, something about me … and, I was only thinking about it a day or two before, something I’m only realizing in my fifty plus years. I want to say, it’s something I hope to change, but, I don’t think that’s possible, so, I’ll say … it’s something I hope to lessen …Â “you’re too hard on yourself” – Dr. Harry.
… the infection, the bacteria … I’m hopped-up on some serious hard core shit! Which now means, I have even more unpleasant side-effects to deal with. And no, it’s not the discolouration of my urine and feces that I’m talking about, it’s the strict adherence to ten straight days of not allowing any beer entering my system that I find most worrisome and disconcerting. Very unpleasant, indeed!! 😥
… LOL!! First words of his mouth when he saw me, after being away for the past year. Bal’s back in Canada now, but was in Dubai – he’s from that part of the world. It made me laugh, his choice of words. Yes, I lost weight, slimmed down, am looking good, am healthier. Thanks for noticing!
