Got this party started Sept. 17/09 … and 700 posts later, I’m still here!! 3motherfuckingand7fuckinghundred … WOW … quite an achievement if I do boastingly say so myself … and since it’s MY blog … I DO!! No time left now for shame, horizon behind me, no more pain … and was a lot of time passing and hard efforts that got me here, methinks I have a chest-thumping, slapping myself on the back right despite likely lazy-assed naysaying from a petty jealous unaccomplished lot – you can do better, then do better – don’t be raggin’ ‘n rainin’ on my parade!! 2-3 weeks ago realized my three year anniversary was nearing, AND was approaching 700 posts … instinctively syncing-the-deuce … plotting plus planning offing 2 milestone birds with 1 brick began – and with mind doing double-time duty, and fingers pounding the keyboard was able to get there. Love scrolling down my homepage and spying my archive column (thing’s a motherfucking mile long – puts a grin on my puss,lol)!! Don’t know what the future holds in danistrulythemanland … don’t care – right now I’m soaking this all in, just wanna savour today’s flavour!! Snapped this shot last week-end, my pics mean a lot to me, this one more – with my front facing iPhone camera too, something I NEVER EVER do, strange eh?! S’ok folks, sure y’all know by now – strange suits me motherfucking fine!!

Know I’m late posting but I REFUSED to easily swipe a Canadian flag off the internet and blog. Nope, not me … Canada’s birthday, the least I could do is put a bit of effort for the country I love, land of the free – home of the brave … er wait a minute wrong anthem, lol!! Just sayin’ ’cause it applies to us as well … a country with abounding civil liberties … and we ain’t a bunch of chickenshits either, lol!! Today talking Paisano, but I ain’t delving too deeply either, kinda scratching the surface … don’t even get me started on my fave Romano Lupa ’cause I won’t stop! And I can’t begin to tell you how I have this disease unable to go into any of my wonderful markets without wandering *wink wink* by the cheese section AND buying cheese … any cheese … EVEN if my fridge is already fully stocked ‘n stuffed, lol! If lovin’ cheese is wrong I don’t wanna be right … if this an addiction I don’t wanna be cured, lol!!
And finally want to chime in with my 2¢ (which is what I wanted to say in the first place) about the Parmigiano-Reggiano vs. Grana Padano debate that I recently caught wind of, but apparently has been raging for quite some time now (who even knew there was a cheese war, lol?). Reggiano was always the king … the undisputed king of ALL Italian cheeses, every Goddamn Italian TV Chef segment had to include those words … Parmigiano-Reggiano … Parmigiano-Reggiano … Parmigiano-Reggiano … uh, can you say overkill? And just ’cause you can parrot saying it over and over and use it doesn’t make you a great chef!! But recently I noticed a trend, the great Italian chefs (including the matriarch herself – Lidia Bastianich) have been steering away from it, and instead incorporating and praising its lesser known (and less expensive) relative – Grano Padano in their recipes?! Damn Motherfuckers!! Been slummin’ for years buying Grano Padano getting more bang for my denaro and NOW y’all are following suit, lol?! All aboard the danistrulythemantrain everyone … choo choo!! 😉
