my first midweek summer (YES, summer) bbq!
well, the CN Tower… as you’ve never seen her before of course!
snapped this yesterday morning using the the Delta Toronto Hotel as my mirror!
perfect timing too, was back again at 2 o’clock today, w/ the sun shining big and bright!
… in the exact same spot on Bremner Boulevard!
but this time… bupkis!
… i LOVE LOVE livin’ life in the6!
i LOVE my new life (did y’all know that, lol?)!
a beautiful 11/6 day starting standard time.
but not close to the 11/9 lily day a decade and a half back!
was 20º, and for the 1 hour drive home, she made time stand still!
they don’t make ’em like that anymore. that day… and, THAT dog!
… oh, here’s the proof btw!
killer view… killer view to die for!
… moved here 18 days ago, BEST move of my life… hands down!!
and, girlfriend S-A hit the nail on the head… “you’re high strung”, lol!!
def know this is gonna help loosen those tightly wound strings
… allowing me to become an official chillin’ villain… zen, baby!!
welcome to yer new hood danistrulytheman… I LOVE the6!!
But, I do love the sport, and especially my TO Blue Jays, and, the American League East in particular! I can’t believe its competitiveness, and wanna give y’all an insight to what’s going on right now… the fourth place team (NY Yankees) are currently 76-55 playing .539 ball. This puts them in second place in any other division in the Majors. Yet, in the AL East, they sit in fourth… but, here’s the thing… they still have a legit chance to win the division! All other division leaders appear a lock to win (w/the NL West being a possible exception; and that’s dubious). MLB‘s nail-biting excitement is right here in my backyard! My Jays rock! My AL East rocks… I rock too, lol!
… back to my regular bullshit blogging program!
Toronto… TO… and my new running distance! Six!
I have a perfect course, well, it’s 5.85K and I make up the rest at the end – kinda sucks. I’ll be blogging about my 6K progress, and I promise to blog only if I better it! I ran three consecutive days, and was hoping for a sub 30 minute time today… I almost made it sub 29. I have a goal of 26:30, if I get 27 minutes (was running that fast in 2013), I’ll be stoked, but will continue pushing to go faster. It’s good to have goals… funny, as I was running Saturday, a elderly woman yelled out, “reach your goals”, as I was approaching her. I blew past her, and yelled back, “you betcha”! Great getting inspiration from unexpected people/places!
my sub five splits:
Company next door was having some sorta huge open house today. Lotsa activity early this morning (6:15 am) setting up a tent, etc., getting prepared. Lookie what else came (around 10 o’clock)… Caplansky’s food truck!! My man Daniel told me it was gonna be gratis too… hell, he even went and got my lunch for me, lol. I didn’t realize till later that they had 3 choices. Mine’s the pulled chicken, btw (ginger ale to drink too). Was really good, even went back for another side of fries later in the day. There were tables and chairs for sitting ‘n eating too, was very well organized. Only a few pics as I was working!

View from my truck
… someone thinks she’s hot, lol! Won’t even bother to acknowledge her by name… hell no initials either. Fuck her. Pissed I missed her from a more head-on angle, had the perfect view too, but kept creeping forward in babyzen while hurriedly rushing to get my phone out. Is two days in a row now I saw her standing in the exact spot at Dundas Square as well. Me thinks she loves the attention and adoration. Again… fuck her!
… Rob Ford luvin’ motherfucker!! But she just smartly sits there … quietly, nodding listening to yer retardedness … uh hmm, uh hmm – ing away while ya happily-slappily suck his cock. No sense potentially sacrificing gorgeous locks, with disagreeing! Hey, Tiff def ain’t no coiffedummy, lol!!
Nothin’ like beer for a life-pick-me-up! Least something good happened today! Heard many positive things ’bout Indie Alehouse Brewing Co. and though I’m often in The Junction … I’ve never been. With today’s circumstances conspiring against me, was no way was gonna add to that dubious streak of missing out on great suds! Being the artful-parking-dodger that I am, lucked out TWICE w/the same city servant dispensing tickets like nobody’s business. “Why don’t you just pay?” she asked all upset-like, as if the money not being collected was hers, lol … before moving along looking for her next ticket tally, and more importantly … luckily letting me off scot-free w/my scofflawing ways, lol! A few pics, y’all!
Beer To Go!
Me & My Growler!
One Day Old Beer!
If only life was so easy, so simple? We can only hope!
Today, Councillor Doug Ford assured me, his bro Mayor Rob Ford will TRY curbing his drinking! WHEW! Oh good, NOW my mind’s at ease.
I’m just guessing, but something tells me Dougie’s laden with doubt himself, seems to be hedging his bets? We all know what they say ’bout trying … “if at first you don’t succeed …”
… LOL! He just up and left – leaving us all alone … ya know what they say, “when the fat cat’s away … “! Has yer Mayor – the ruler of yer roost ever done that? Headed down to Austin for a few days on a so called business trip involving checking out local bar bands … leaving ya to fuck around, doing what pleases ya, lol?! That’s my Mayor!! 😆
Long Story! Here’s the short version: Trying to lend a helping hand to my friend, did him a solid today. Went to Hamilton on his business behalf! And while still early in the day, was done. Sweet! Hold yer Hamilton horses! Imagine my surprise when taking Barton E. exiting onto Red Hill Valley Pkwy expecting to take the ramp happily back home to my safe and sound Toronto, only to see it closed?! Bear in mind, at this point, traffic was at a dead-stop standstill. Looks like QEW Niagara here I come. Wait, luckily the Centennial Pkwy off-ramp that merges w/ RHVP Niagara bound was closed to traffic under the OPP‘s directive! We (anybody who didn’t want to keep driving to Niagara – I mean continuing being stuck in traffic) were permitted to swing our vehicles around, and drive up the exiting ramp in the WRONG direction. Anywhere you looked, all roads in sight weren’t moving! EVERYTHING, was a fucking mess (sorry; correction, this is Hamilton we’re talking about … MORE of a fucking mess, lol). Eventually, I got back onto Barton, and drove all the way through that shit part of the city, till I got my ass onto the 403 Toronto! For that unforgiving hour and a half, I was a held-against-my-will-hostage-Hamiltonian!
Great, great restaurant on Dundas … had the best fucking time!! We ordered the WHOLE menu … minus 4 starters, and 1 main, lol!! After dinner, we walked up to College St. for gelato … was so pleasant, despite the humidity … the walk I mean, the gelato was through the mofo roof sublime too!! A few pics y’all!!
