… seriously WordPress, what the fuck??!! You know, I don’t ask much. I never complain … BUT … I can’t help noticing during the past three months I became a runner, and started blogging under RUNNING as a categories option, you RARELY have my blogposts showing under said category?! Cunts! Pricks! AND, not sure if it’s connected (really haven’t delved that deeply), just seems to me, I ain’t getting the traffic I used to get for all my other blogposts either (not that I give a rat’s ass ’bout that), just while I’m calling ya out on one thing, figured, I might as well call ya out on the other. Ya following?!?! Good! Fix it!! I did say cunts, pricks right?!?! Grrrr!!

In truth, you’re an irritant at most, and deep down I REALLY REALLY pity you – knew I’d get ’em in, lol. … BLOGGING AWARDS!! I’ve said it before, looks like I’m sayin’ it again … thanks, but no thanks to any/all of these silly, meaningless “things” that apparently many bloggers give way too much credence to … widget-ing your blogs with them as some sort of achievement?! Huh, really? Newsflash folks; it means nothing, absolutely nothing … THEY AIN’T REAL!! Receiving an Oscar® or a Grammy®, now those are awards, THOSE ARE REAL!! Along with ceremonies, speeches, trophies, and recognition from peers in the industry … and, as well given to deserving recipients with NO conditions or stipulations … you don’t receive one of these under the pretext you’ll make more movies/albums, lol … how goofy is that? … a chain letter, pyramid scheme “award-thingie” … here’s your award, now go pass it along, LOL!! Please people, no more nominations … I’m done with the politeness & pleasantries … I know who I am, and I can tell you with complete honesty & humbleness, danistrulytheman doesn’t need/want any of ya scrolling blogs looking at me to pawn off your phony-baloney – er, I mean legitimately nominate a deserving candidate as part of your acceptance of one of these prestigious (really, REALLY facetious) awards!! Thank you, hope it’s the end of all this (somehow doubt it – but SURE did feel good sayin’ it) … now, somebody get me a beer *belch*!!
my milestone – 1000 blog posts!!
… it’s been a long haul since danistrulytheman reared its handsome head on WordPress, 1342 days … over 3 years, 8 months ago. 1000 posts is a personal achievement that with a lot of time, and a little bit of effort *wink wink* … was able to get there. And must say, am filled with a hint of pride. Had others along the way … 700 was my personal fave … or was it 800 with its simple matter-of-fact statement?! And keeping with that theme, won’t say much this time either, other than feel free to drop a comment, a few words if you wish. I will end my moment in sun day with a brief story. I was having a conversation with a friend the other day, can’t recall exactly what we were talking about, but I know how it ended. I asked him, “what do you want?”, and without hesitating, he replied with a one word answer … peace! Amen, brother!

… keeping my boasting/bragging (albeit well deserved to a minimum) since I hardly heard a peep outta y’all first time ’round mentioning my accomplishments … one of my greatest blogposts ever BTW (should keep re-blogging the shit outta that one … it was THAT fucking good, lol). Seemed to have a bit more success three months later while keeping it short and simple when greatness struck once again. And now it’s my ninehunny … 3 1/2 years of danistrulytheman WordPressing it … March 17 – St. Paddy’s Day to be precise; as if I ever need a legitimate reason to lift a pint of Guinness, lol. Drop comments/likes if you want … if you don’t, then don’t … it don’t matter to me motherfuckers … NEVER will I be Shot Down In Flames again … ain’t it a shame …

My fireworks … er firecracker, lol!!
Always fun getting my annual report, fellow bloggers – you know what I’m talking about. A few stats I’ll divulge are new posts: 262 and pictures uploaded: 443 … very close to danistrulytheman 2011 year in blogging numbers: 276 and 472 respectively. Got me thinking I should do a personal year in review giving a few shout-outs expressing my thanks and appreciation. And while it may not make complete sense to you, it does to me. Firstly I want to thank John, Jessica … and the third person in this group, I don’t think I even know his name, lol? Only his blog handle and the stories he tells … I do know it’s your birthday and you’re 48 to give you a clue, lol. I’m thanking these three for the same reason, although their blogs are completely different from each others … told ya, it’d make no sense, lol. The second group I want thank is Jason, Jennifer and Gee Gee ( … and Gee Gee is in a league of her own as she’s constantly and playfully reminding me … looking forward to seeing you at danistrulytheman‘s yearly subscription/followers invite only allowed, drunken and orgy filled appreciation soiree btw, last year’s was a blast, remember, lol?!) for a different reason as well. All of you have done something, inspired me, motivated me … difficult to explain, too hard to quantify, so I won’t try. Quick thought: now that I have publicly named six (all who receive my blogposts btw, so no excuses, lol), wonder how many will respond/acknowledge?! … I’m pretty sure I already know the answer, lol. And that’s ok, there’s one person who absolutely loves my blog … he laughs, he smiles … he constantly reads it over and over soaking in its wisdom, LOL!! Ok, so that’s entirely (not really, maybe 90%, lol) eyes-rolling, tongue in cheek, facetiousness, but there’s definitely something there. Ok, enough rambling … class dismissed.
