Finally cut my hair. It’s been months since last time … and after my 1 hour and 20 minute appt. w/ my hairdresser, felt it was worthy of a selfie. Who/what’s prettier, my haircut or that red rose, lol?! 😛
I started trying for 1mile times late August. Since then, I’ve attempted it a total of 8 times. It’s a tough run, pretty much giving everything your body can give, for those grueling 6+ minutes. Now, it’s almost to the point where I dread it, ’cause it completely drains/saps me … AND, because I haven’t seen much improvement. Only 17 seconds separates my fastest & slowest times, but with two 6:30s, and two 6:31s outta the eight, that seems to be my average, so for the time being, I consider myself a 6:30 miler. I know I’m capable of PRing it at 6:10 – 6:15. It’s just a matter of nailing it. One day, before it kills me, lol!
Today I noticed this big-ass bruise. Thing’s the size of a football. Never really felt any pain when the car hit me, my ankle certainly did though. Now, it really showing where I got smacked by the car’s hood. And it’s starting to hurt – as a bruise hurts.

… downloaded iOS 7 yesterday evening. Took 6 hours to complete, thankfully it went off without a hitch. Funny how a new operating system transforms your phone into a completely NEW one. Still up in the air about the 5s … unsure if I’ll upgrade or not even though I’m eligible. My 4 is in incredible shape, 16 GB, and has a gorgeous hand crafted after-market exotic wood back to boot. Unfortunately, the person I was gonna sell it to (at a discounted friend’s price no less, lol) def won’t be buying it. She never knew a good thing anyways … even when she had it! Her loss!

A buddy of mine and his mail-order wife (‘sok y’all, he doesn’t read any of this, and no I ain’t making that shit up … she is) are downsizing from a suburbia spread, to a closer to the city high in the sky condo. He was more than happy to get rid of it, I was happier than hell to take it off his hands – win win! Tens bucks sealed the deal. When I brought her home, used my 1/2″ combo wrench to tighten all the nuts, and my newly acquired fireman’s nozzle to remove any crap/gunk, and just to give an overall clean appearance. She’s as good as new – whaddya think, eh?!

It’s bad enough dealing with the assortment of hazards I have to contend with on a daily basis … I can’t tell how many car hoods I’ve smacked startling oblivious drivers, making them aware of my existence, my right-of -way, not to mention arms flailing, gesturing to pay attention to pedestrians … but this tops ’em all. Roadblock! Now, I ain’t no arborist, but I’m betting this tree was well over a hundred years old, maybe even two?!
