… and those Thai chilies ya see … yep, f’n HOT!!
… now ya have me resorting to name calling (kinda-ish), lol!!
blogs aren’t being directed to appropriate topics, forums
… that was my search query, and still wasn’t helpful. I don’t see any other method of contacting you directly either. I only want an explanation, please help me understand how traffic is directed towards specific topics?! Thanks guys! And please, pay no attention to my blog-post title … much love, lol! 😉
Had two pretty good runs today. Must admit it wasn’t easy, but I persevered. My 4K was sub 18 minutes, which is always a good thing, but as I said, I really had to fight to get it. After walking/light jogging, and nearing my 1 mile run starting point, I said to myself, just run all six fractions evenly/equally (or, at least try to), and see what happens. Normally, for the mile … I start sprinting like a bat outta hell, trying to hang on (lung burning survive I mean, lol) till the very end. I’m thrilled I changed my strategy, I ran the mile … and, I’ll be honest – I felt as if I was jogging (at a quick pace albeit) it … and I STILL only missed my PR by 12 seconds!! One day when I’m feeling stronger, will approach my 1mile run exactly the same way as today, and I know I’ll def PR. I’m still experimenting/learning new/different things with running. And don’t forget y’all, I’m a newbienovice to the game … I’m a greenrunner, lol!
pic taken between my 4K & 1mile runs
… was a beautiful, breezy, 15° sunny Sunday morning! And nope, ain’t smiling … you can’t make me, lol!
No ranting. No swearing. No emotion.
Just simply curious, why again – in fact the last two posts, aren’t being shown/posted under RUNNING, when I continually categorize/tag my posts properly? And, not only that, but I see other posts in the feed/thread, that really don’t have anything to do with running, but more along the lines of health/nutrition?
I take time, and effort to write my blog – I’m proud of my running stories, my accomplishments, all I ask is that they be displayed along with all the other blogger’s stories/posts with respect to RUNNING … thank you!
My body needs it, and this is one of the ways I give it a break. I’m too stubborn to rest, even for a day … so I have to wait for a rainy morning to make the decision for me. I’m fine with it too, as I said, I need rest. Plus, I’m still on a high from yesterday’s 10K run. I did mention it was the best one, the best run I ever had at any distance … still soaking it in, reliving it … enjoying it!!
dreary day this a.m.
my awesome10K – check out my pace analysis
in a champagne supernova in the sky
how many special people change
how many lives are living strange
where were you when we were getting high
but you and I we live and die
the world’s still spinning round
we don’t know why
why why why why
Running & Beer Drinking! Is there anything better? God, I love you both, lol!
This may be the single best run I’ve had since I boarded TheRunningTrain. Sure, I PRed, but it was much more than that. I felt very strong throughout, even when I finished … normally I feel so winded, completely spent. Not today! I ran the first 5K in 22:57, I brought home the final 5K in 22:14! Are you f’ing kidding me? To put that in perspective; my 5K PR is 22:02. Honestly, I know having my RunKeeper set providing audio cues every minute helped. During that second half, I was determined to keep my pace at 220m per call … and I did. In fact, often covering 230m, even 240m occasionally … and anytime/every time I achieved those distances … I dug deeper, giving it all I had for the following minute, feeding off the accomplishment of my previous minute … you know what I mean? Yep, def has to be my greatest effort to date! Now … where’s my beer?!
10K – 45:12 …
Fast 5K – Faster 5K …
There you are. Well hello, good looking …
… have been making incremental progress! I’m happy where I’m at – 6:23 … but now I’d love to lower my time to 6:10 – 6:15 … THEN, I’d REALLY be happy where I’m at, lol!
Today’s effort came on the heels (a mere eight minutes later) of another super-quick, sub 18 minutes 4K, a great run by its own right. So all things considered, another awesome day of running … am chuffed as fuck again!!
my (current, lol) PR – 6:23
beginning of hard times to come
but something that was not meant to be is done
and this is the start of what was
the clock is laughing in my face
my eyes feel like they’re gonna bleed
dried up and bulging out my skull
my mouth is dry
my face is numb
fucked up and spun out in my room
on my own here we go
Wow, I amazed myself. Lord knows I needed a great day, my endurance and pace have been suffering lately. And my 4K is tough for me to improve upon, since my old time was fast, but I bettered it by 5 seconds. AND THEN, fifteen minutes later … I surprised myself lowering my mile to 6:31 (an 8 second improvement). I still can’t believe I had enough left in the tank after those grueling, energy sapping four kilometers?! Oh, and am also surprised since it’s very humid (feels like 30°), and the air feels so thick, making breathing difficult. Like I said, wow … chuffed again!
