my plate is full

… but I’m going hungry

Well, I did eat my mortadella sammie at 10 am, then WAY too much unexpected and gratis Pizza Nova pizza at 1 o’clock… so Eddie, you better Vedder believe, I’m going hungry tonight!

As far as my plate being full; tonight, I fuelled and wash Baby Zen, did laundry too! Alarm is set for 6:15 (on day off, no less) in the morning, then tomorrow; dentist, insurance adjuster (sorry, I bailed on Barque, logistically and from my schedule timeframe, Starbucks made more sense, and will suffice), groceries (Highland Farms), financial advisor (fingers crossed you’ll be in the office on a shite Saturday), optometrist… culminating w/a icantbelieveisqueezedsuchashitloadintothese20hours peaceful, lovely, and joyful (and deserving, lol) brunch… on Tiff K‘s dime!

chili strozzapreti… & my shite life!

… trying to juggle so much crap, and now crap from over a year ago hit the danfan today. so much on my plate, trying my best to deal w/it all. hardly have any free time during my workday squeezing in the phone calls quelling the barrage! not all was bad, thanks seema for the call… much appreciated!

Christmas Day Fun Run!

… my first time running since November 1st, and considering poor conditioning… killed it!! I see so many daily runners in this mild winter weather, luckily being able to continue running/training throughout the year (me, w/my job makes it next to impossible), and am SO jealous… yet, they’re still slow-poking it? What’s up w/that shit?!

Chuffed as fuck w/my x-mas run… 15 minutes for 3K is only 2 minutes-ish from my PB… and w/regular sessions 13:30 would be easily attainable day after day! I’m also happy as hell w/negative splits (lungs began burning 400m in, lol)!

My Portuguese Christmas!

… my Portuguese family! Just got back home… getting my hair looking all pretty… in for the evening… kicking off my 4 day holiday, when Antonio surprises me w/this… wishing me a Merry Christmas!! He says the cake is called King Cake (Bolo Rei, in Portuguese), and it’s still warm when he hands it to me! Yum-F-O!! I see from the sticker, this one comes courtesy Seara Bakery… what a lovely presentation! Funny; minutes from home when stopped at a traffic light, snuck a peek and was in disbelief the amount of cars, and the lack of room w/more cars trying to get in (and out) of Seara… welcome to a Portuguese Christmas Eve, lol! He tells me the port wine is to be enjoyed after dinner! I’m enjoying everything right now just staring at it… can’t stop thinking about all your kindness, and love! Thanks big guy… and, thanks Lina too! Much love!!

Riley!

… that’s one badass name! one tough, SOB mofo name! a cop you wouldn’t want to fuck with name… a cop on the take name! a super-spy-sleuth name! a chicks dig ya just ’cause of yer name name! damn, oozes coolness (gotta be top five best names ever – equally awesome for females too)… Riley! just met the man, and he is badass and cool…  but, he’s my endodontist! afterwards, gave me his mobile… looks like Riley and I are best buds!

this is what 14 hours low n’ slow in the crockpot looks like! oh, and mine’s an old school ceramic Rival model w/only two settings; low & high. no timer, nuthin’ fancy folks – workhorse still gets the job done!
