Chick… not dude! As in Swift… and, was she! All started w/seeing my Bell bill this morning… then seeing red! Was furious… I just spoke w/customer service not even 2 weeks ago straightening the whole mess/everything out?! Honestly, I’ve had it, was done… was calling to quit. Dude transferred me over to their cancellation department, and is where Taylor took over. She was able to do what others couldn’t, or weren’t allowed. She told me they had an across the board price increase (which I surmised), but what pissed me off, is why when given a month’s credit last time for my problems, wasn’t it for the new price, instead of the old since the increase was implemented beginning April? That’s what tipped me off, alerted me that something was amiss! Needless to say, that was the first thing done, the difference credited to my account – funny, after getting that, was still gonna quit, lol! Then, after a few minutes on hold, she came back w/a crazy-assed price, lower than my previous negotiations (which, I did receive the credit for as well). Starting today, I’ll be saving over $135 a year (on top of all the credits, so many, hard to keep track, lol)! She did warn me that price increases do occur, but also said they’re not expecting any in the foreseeable future (this year). Oh, suffice it to say, I asked for further retroactive discounts as well… and received them! NOW, I’m extremely happy… thanks again, Taylor!!

First Mackenzie w/ her never-ending, relentless awesomeness/helpfulness, then Hanan coming on board too … ya both went to bat for me, not letting me get fucked – by your employer no less … speaks volumes! After our brief chat yesterday vowing to make things right with a gift card, informs me after speaking with customer care, all they’d be able to do would be a $20 gift card. Was kinda bummed about the amount (sensed he was as well) … so he suggests we scrap the gift card idea (honestly, never was a fan – I mean it’s like mailing cash, was skeptical/scared … lost/stolen, etc., leaving me still screwed) and asks me if direct depositing $50 (the amount I mentioned yesterday btw) into my account would make things right? Hells yeah!! Hells yeah … that’ll make things plenty right! Kept telling the dude, “you’re the man”! I not only love when people know how to get shit done, they actually go about getting shit done!! Thanks A … you def are the mofo man!! I did say whoa, didn’t I?
Still am in disbelief?!?! You are incredible, talk about customer loyalty – an Apple in my eye! Left my iTunes library for dead after my deleting missteps/futile transfer attempts! Wasn’t even the reason for today’s phone call, only wanted to transfer/salvage cds I burned yesterday! I did all my crying last night, was moving forward despite it all … but you were able to retrieve all my songs. Thank you! Funny thing though, this whole transfer thingie WAS WAY WAY harder than even you imagined, gave you plenty (PLENTY) of troubles too … as evidenced by our 2 hour chat – with you having complete shared access to both my computers to boot! No goddamn fucking way laypeople coulda figured that shit out! No way! Am so thrilled as you [other(s) too, lol] intimated that I don’t migrate data! What a fucking mess that woulda been as you said … bringing over all my headaches, my problems … so much redundancy, files piled upon files upon files upon files upon files … woulda brought all that crap over to my brand spanking new iMac! happy april one danistrulytheman! was already pissed at my bank regarding a completely unrelated concern – didn’t help when today i finally received a phone call regarding it only to be told … we’re looking into the matter! geez, thanks! for nothing! a-holes! so back to my lost account; i have this american plan – for free too mind you, but logging into my bank app this morning, see this hideous monthly service charge? started googling shit, and see that my bank made changes regarding this account effective march 31?! yesterday! wow! what a fine yankee doodle dandy! a quick call, tell the rep i wasn’t aware of these changes and i’m reimbursed their blood-sucking fee. then, have her proceed to empty the account (transfer funds). then am put on hold to be transferred to another department, which quickly assists me in closing the account! done, and done!
Sexy Zen Baby … today was the day! I had these beautiful, quintessential, Saab ALU36 rims w/ ZR tyres in storage, waiting for warmer weather. Recently, I’ve been searching online wanting to swap out my winters for my summers. Having a hard time too, finally said fuck it – drove to see my man Ram (was so nice seeing him btw – he even knew/sensed the changes in my life, that was before he saw my new ride … and then when he did, he immediately understood why I bought the fecking thing – he got it … now, actually am contemplating further simple servicing w/ him) … luckily he wasn’t too busy and he even topped up the pressure to 35psi when done. AND, the best part … he was WAY cheaper than everybody else – $20 … are you f’n kidding me?!?! Driving back on the highway … OMG, difference was night and day compared to the winter tyres – unbelievably quiet, smooth … and w/ so much grip! Chuffed as fuck, you have no idea!! Funny; realized on the drive back, this is my first time behind the wheel (other than the test drive I took mid November last year) with these gorgeous summer rims/tyres since I bought it! Took her for a wash as soon as I got back home – was mandatory!

… just thought I’d throw that milestone out there. Today’s post is really about my great day. Went early to Yorkdale – I love it now that I live minutes away. Parking lot was already packed before 10 in the morning, but this attractive older couple was leaving, and lovely lady kept pointing me towards her car. Kept smiling too … knew it was ZEN BABY, people are so positive towards it! Oh, before I continue with my shopping tales, when I left for home, I stopped at Shell for some V-Power (and 10X AirMiles). I swerved around, positioning my car in front of this absolutely gorgeous Mercedes SLS AMG (the one with the gull wing doors) …
… yeah, I know SICK!! Anyway, I jumped out and blurted out to the owner, a good-looking guy about my age as he was getting ready to leave … “kinda liked my ride?” … meaning/referring/joking that I like my car. Without missing a beat, he assertively, along with complete honesty, snaps back offering affirmation, “I like your ride” … “better than this one”. thanks dude, ZEN BABY, lol!!
Back to shopping! I went to purchase a specific item, to kinda compensate for my Banana lacking gift. I was told, this is something good. I’ve never shopped for this before, but listen to this … as I was leaving my hairdresser’s place yesterday, he showed me this very gift that a client gave as an X-mas present, lol. Weird, I woulda said before. Not so weird anymore, I say now! Oh, I also went to buy myself a coffee maker, as I no longer have one, but due to the fact that I’m not in possession of my rewards card, I knew I’d be fucked and wouldn’t be able to access MY MONEY, I quit before I devoted fruitless time, frustrating myself. I already feel fucked as it is – $160 (half of which is mine) is being controlled/manipulated, and I don’t have easy/immediate access to it. Nice! Whatevs, after this, it’s finally fucking done!
Next up, was fragrances! Funny, when I was walking out of the store into the mall, I asked a Chanel girl in the women’s department, where the men’s department was. She said, “Chanel, or in general”? In general I answered. When I got there (ok, first of all, the fucking area is gorgeous), the gentleman who helped me, who didn’t work for any particular brand, immediately steered me towards Chanel. I was sold. Listen to this, the 50 ml costs $82.50, the 100ml $107 … BUT, if you spend over $100, you get $20 off. Duh, picked up the 100ml for $87! Oh, apparently the cologne is brand new too, and when I asked for samples of any kind for men, he didn’t think he had any. But then, he came back w/ a 10ml bottle … that ain’t no fucking sample, that’s a fucking bottle, lol! I love it!! Then, I asked for samples for women, he obliged! Oh, when home, was kicking myself for not doing this earlier … went online and ordered another pair of sale priced Chuck’s from JV … I was lucky too, international free shipping that ended yesterday, didn’t. Lucky my size was still available. ZEN BABY!!
Someone watches over me, I have clydesdale sized horseshoes up my ass, or I am extremely on the ball? Maybe, it’s my life trifecta? This morning went to check stuff out at johnvarvatos … and what did I see? My recently purchased Converse X kicks on sale. A quick email, followed by an even quicker phone call … and Bob’s your price adjustment uncle. They happily credited my AMEX the difference since it was within the 14 day company policy time allowance for said adjustments. Still not sure the exact refund amount, but I’m guessing it’s $60+ … I loved them before when I initially bought & got ’em … I love them even more now! Next, about an hour later began working on finalizing a purchase I had on my mind for a few days. I won’t lie, my first thoughts at the time were too excessive, too expensive … but now, for whatever reason, Banana Republic popped to mind. Went online to see what their site had to offer. Not only was I able to peruse items, I was able to check availability at my nearby store (updated every 20 minutes) which is what I wanted, nothing worse than wasted trips to the mall. While deciding on the exact item I wanted, I did happen to catch that 40% discount offer (today & tomorrow/online purchases only) prominently displayed. Why go to the mall and spend $125, when I can sit on my fat ass and order from my computer (along with a cool personalized message at no charge – I LOVE that shit, lol) for $75? Exactly? So that’s what I did, and in all likelihood, will be returning it for a refund at the store, but at least now I have it, and at a sweet deal, really it just provides greater flexibility, whatever I decide. The way I look at it, the money back from JV covers the BR purchase. Win Win … King!!
… it started early, was very cold standing 40 minutes in line waiting for the store to open. once in, got my RCA 40″ HDTV. a bit of a snag trying paying w/ points … no worries if nothing else, danistrulytheman is one persistent SOB. after 45 minutes or so, got what I wanted … half a yard, cash in hand. sweet! PLUS, still will have my original 50000 points returned back to my account,when I’m done w/ them. all’s well that ends well. next stop was Bay Bloor Radio; I knew what I wanted, new Grado cans + a new Grado extension cable (even so, I did have a hell of a fun time playing w/ their wall of headphones) … hey, I didn’t mind wasting my time on their dime – I love places that validate parking smack dab in the heart of the city! oh, I would be remiss if I didn’t include this deal too … my fave diet pepsi from Shoppers Drug Mart (ok, I know the shit is bad, but I drink one per day, max, … don’t judge, lol). all said and done, taxes included, everything you see here … I paid two bits under $400. yep, bitches … sweet!
