… every morning, everyday!! Ain’t easy at times, but I haven’t missed a single day since I began. Am posting a few RunKeeper pics … funny enough, my first two attempts were my best (maybe my body needs a break), and I did manage to squeak under 40 minutes on my second run, but the GPS shortchanged me on the distance, didn’t credit it for a full 8K. I did time myself once for half my circuit, and was under 20 minutes (while being a tad over 4K), putting me under the 5 minute per km barrier … but, as you can clearly see, I’m more of a 5:05/km runner. Ain’t the fastest fucker … but certainly ain’t no slowpoke either. I’ve NEVER been a runner, NEVER considered myself a runner, so now starting something so hardcore strenuous at my advanced age, AND, meanwhile achieving these times … well, let me say … am as proud as the proverbial motherfucking peacock!!
… it’s been a long haul since danistrulytheman reared its handsome head on WordPress, 1342 days … over 3 years, 8 months ago. 1000 posts is a personal achievement that with a lot of time, and a little bit of effort *wink wink* … was able to get there. And must say, am filled with a hint of pride. Had others along the way … 700 was my personal fave … or was it 800 with its simple matter-of-fact statement?! And keeping with that theme, won’t say much this time either, other than feel free to drop a comment, a few words if you wish. I will end my moment in sun day with a brief story. I was having a conversation with a friend the other day, can’t recall exactly what we were talking about, but I know how it ended. I asked him, “what do you want?”, and without hesitating, he replied with a one word answer … peace! Amen, brother!

Picked up frozen mangoes, AND pineapple chunks (said, she read about them on my friend’s blog – thanks for the tip), AND she was lucky to get some more Chia (she sprinkles that shit on EVERYTHING, lol) … stuff is pricey too, bag cost almost $18, ain’t even organic like what we have on hand, AND the golden organic flaxseed I bought which is organic was only $2.99/lb … add this to our frozen bananas and strawberries, as well as apples (we ALWAYS have apples in the house) and dates, PLUS whatever else we buy during the week, I’d say we’re all set … it’s all smoothie sailing from here …
Needing new gear for my feet, went with zero drop … the latest technological advancement for runners. And there’s plenty of articles with differing points of view … all I know personally, it was a no-brainer … since I didn’t have a runner’s background, I wouldn’t have to transition to zero drop, it’s been my natural running gait all along. The running I’ve been doing for the past couple of months have been in my flat shit shoes … minimalist is my middle name. And, I can tell you after a quick trial run on the street last night, I absolutely LOVE LOVE them!! Check ’em out … my brand spanking new sweet Saucony Virratas in my civvies … Thanks for the early-birdieTiff!!
Spicy is right! I think garlic is what separates it from other hot sauces I’m accustomed to, and this is the real rooster sauce. Recipe’s my creation; Shanghai thick noodles, braised Baby Bok Choy, beef stock, BBQ pork, and tilapia … TILAPIA? … lol, had a few frozen fillets, figured it be a good time to use them … oh, and I had everything on hand except the Baby Bok Choy (a huge bag’s worth set me back $2.17 – great value), and y’all know how I love using what I have in my fridge/freezer/pantry, creating healthy, fun dishes. For a couple of bucks Tiff and I ate well today, AND have leftovers for tomorrow … yep, this one’s def a winner!
… I barely believe it myself … danistrulythealmondmilkman, lol?!?! Snagged some organic golden flaxseed, and Tunisian Dates too … PLUS, more fun purchases to come! I will fess my ignorance re: almond milk … when I poured some into my Vitamix, was a clear liquid – like water … didn’t have a clue, didn’t see the SHAKE WELL BEFORE SERVING on the carton … what a fucking doofus, lol!! 😳

I do know it’s a hard cheese from Italy, and it’s very hard to source), but I had fresh tomatoes, and decided to throw in hot peppers to add some zip … but doesn’t Spinach and Cheese Frittata just SOUND better, lol?
